Exploring the Greater Bay Area Start-up Ecosystem

The 14th Five-Year Plan presents huge opportunities for GBA start-ups and the innovation and technology sector. In order to understand the startup ecosystem in the GBA, HKTDC Research, in collaboration with the HSBC, conducted a questionnaire survey and a series of in depth interviews with start up enterprises in the GBA in mid 2021. The study found that 71% of the respondents expect to see their income grow by 25% or more in the next three years.
