Customs Announces Updated Product-Specific Rules of Origin Under CEPA

The General Administration of Customs recently announced that updated product-specific rules of origin for Hong Kong and Macao will be used after 16 May to align with the CEPA Agreement on Trade in Goods. The rules are based on the World Customs Organisation’s Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System (2022 edition).
