Shanghai Unveils Action Plan for Development of Green and Low-Carbon Industries

Under Shanghai’s action plan for promoting the development of green and low-carbon industries, the scale of these sectors is projected to exceed RMB500 billion in value by 2025. The megacity will focus on the development of high-end industries, as well as the development of industrial clusters, trading in carbon emissions rights and carbon finance, and innovation around carbon financial derivatives.
