China Promotes Green Certification for Express Delivery Packaging

The State Administration for Market Regulation and the State Post Bureau recently issued joint guidelines on the green certification for express delivery packaging (Guo Shi Jian Ren Zheng No. 43 [2020]). Recommendations were made for the publication of a catalogue and rules for certification, including the following:

• Certification institutions may commission testing institutions that have obtained the relevant qualifications to conduct testing of products and will be accountable for the certification conclusions made.

• Certification and testing institutions must separately establish working mechanisms for tracing and documenting the whole process of certification and testing.
