Guangdong Unveils Five-Year Action Plan for Advanced Materials Industrial Clusters

On 25 September, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Commerce and other Guangdong provincial government departments jointly issued a plan to develop advanced materials industry clusters (Yue Gong Xin Cai Liao No. 115 [2020]).

According to the plan, Guangdong will raise its game in quality, sustainable development, and advance its position in global supply chains, over the next five years. The province will be expected to join the ranks of world-class advanced materials industry clusters, with annual revenues from core businesses in the cluster amounting to RMB2.8 trillion and industrial added value reaching RMB647.5 billion.
