Guangxi Implements Pilot Free Trade Zone Regulations
27 October 2020
The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Congress Standing Committee passed Regulations on the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone on 22 September. The regulations, which took effect immediately, apply to the China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, established with the approval of the State Council. It includes the Nanning Area, the Qinzhou Port Area, the Chongzuo Area and other expanded areas of the pilot free trade zone which may be developed and approved by the State Council. Efforts will be made to build high-quality free trade parks that provide trade and investment facilitation, improved financial services, and safe and efficient oversight, with the aim of serving both the Belt and Road Initiative and China-ASEAN opening-up and co-operation.
