Guangdong Releases Plan to Build Innovative Infrastructure

A three-year implementation plan for the construction of new infrastructure was released recently by the Guangdong provincial government. It asks relevant departments to develop nation-leading network systems, innovative infrastructure clusters, and projects that facilitate intelligent economic and social operations.

The plan lists three main tasks:

• Build an integrated network to promote the creation of information infrastructure involving 5G, IoT and industrial internet technologies

• Develop four major clusters to support innovation capabilities, including key technology infrastructure, advanced computing power and new technology infrastructure

• Implement 10 smart projects to promote the development of integrative infrastructures
