Guangzhou Implements Centralised Supervision of Imported Refrigerated Food
22 February 2021
According to a circular issued by Guangzhou’s Covid-19 prevention and control headquarters (No. 12 [2021]) on 19 January, a centralised supervision warehouse for imported refrigerated food became fully operational in the city on 27 January. Having obtained the necessary customs clearance and certificates of inspection and quarantine, imported refrigerated food bound for either units of storage, production/processing, or sales and catering in the city, must first be sent to the centralised supervision warehouse for further inspection and disinfection of outer packaging. If the goods test positive for nucleic acid in spot checks, they will be decontaminated and destroyed.
