China Updates Environmental and Consumer Standards

The State Administration for Market Regulation recently announced updated versions of 386 voluntary national standards, and amendments to three national standards. The revised standards are aimed at promoting eco-friendliness and protecting consumers. Key updated standards include:

• Forest Certification in China: Forest Management;

• Technical Requirements for Operational Performance Evaluations of Rural Domestic Sewage Treatment Facilities;

• Thresholds and Grading of Coast-by Noise for Motor Vehicle Tyres;

• Guidelines for the Evaluation of Ecological Communities;

• Terminology for the Chinese Spirits Industry;

• Beverage and Alcohol Terminology and Classification;

• Textiles: General Technical Requirements Based on Consumer Experience;

• Primary Cells;

• Performance Evaluation Methods of Mobile Household Robots.
