UAE: Sharjah Publishing City Launches Summer Business Setup Packages

The Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone) has launched three discounted business setup packages available until 5 September, according to the official Emirates News Agency. 

Package 1, costing AED 6,500 (US$ 1,770), allows combining any two business activities from the service, commercial or e-commerce sectors, under a one-year business licence. The single shareholder will get a stamped licence, Memorandum of Association and a lease agreement, but no visa. The regular cost of this package is AED 9,000. Package 2, costing AED 9,500, gives the business registrant one visa, plus all of Package 1, saving AED 5,000 on the standard price. 

The all-inclusive AED 17,500 Package 3 gives a one-year business licence and a three-year visa on top of Packages 1 and 2, as well as an Emirates ID, an establishment card, medical fitness tests and access to the e-channel portal of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship system. Investors can upgrade packages later if desired. 

The SPC Free Zone typically targets small publishing, educational and digital operations. It offers regular free zone benefits, such as 100% foreign ownership, no paid-up capital, and tax-free status, as well as a wide range of office facilities and leasing packages.
