Hainan Free Trade Port Implements “Zero-Tariff” Rules for Business Vehicles on Trial Basis
10 September 2021
Hainan province started the trial implementation of “zero-tariff” rules on business vehicles in the Hainan Free Trade Port on 26 July. The rules apply to business vehicles designated as “zero-tariff” in the port prior to the conversion of the whole of Hainan Island into a customs bonded area. Such vehicles may stay on the mainland for up to 120 days per year when engaging in passenger and freight transportation between the mainland and Hainan Island, provided at least one end of the journey is in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
