New Government Guidelines Set to Optimise Uptake of RCEP Opportunities

New guidelines relating to the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement have been jointly issued by the Ministry of Commerce and five other government departments. It is hoped that the new procedures will help local government bodies, industry sectors and individual businesses thrive within the new and more open and competitive regional market. They have also been designed to ensure the opportunities provided by the trade pact align with local development strategies and are properly utilised as a means of maintaining high-quality economic development.
